NITZANA: The Nabataean City

Nitzana meaning "a flower bud" in Hebrew, was founded by the Nabateans in the 3rd century BCE as a camel caravan station on the Spice Route. These traders traveled in caravans from Arabia and made their capital Petra, in what is now southern Jordan.
